Sculpture
A two piece wood carving by local Folkartist, Adelard Coté. It features two large horses who are harnessed for a plow, sled, or other task. They are attached through the harness. The horses, although very similar, are not identical. Both of the horses have upright, wooden ears. The wave black manes that are set to one side and also black tails which might be made of some sort of animal hair. The have side blinders and a horse shoe shaped harness around their necks. They are not. saddled. The horses themselves have no moving parts. One horse is adorned on each side of his head. One side has rusty colored yarn and the other side has a different type of rust colored fibers, but not yarn, that looks like a tassle. The second horse is not adorned. The harness is intricate and makes use of black painted chains, leather, and wood.
