Leona Houle was the sister of Dr. Marcel Houle, a well respected physician from Biddeford. She died at the age of 16 years old. This photo is part of the Marcel Houle Collection which was donated by Alan Casavant.

Elite Studio was a prominent portrait photography business operating in Biddeford, Maine, from the late 1880s through at least the 1950s. Located at 98 Main St (1902) and later 138 Main St (1911–1951), it was managed by photographers including Eugene J. Poisson, Phillip P. Genest, and Paul A. Allard.
