Marc was a 2025 inductee in the Biddeford Saco Music Hall of Fame for his 60+ year career performing in over 30 bands. In fact, he was a “two-fer” winner as a member of the 2025 award recipients,Corona Brothers. Classically trained from a very young age, Marc ended up being a staple at community performances. A highlight was winning a talent contest on TV’s Youth Cavalcade at the age of 10. He was in his first band at 13 and just kept going.
But that is just one part of his story. His work life ranged from paper boy to cook at a convent, special ed teacher and owner of Marc J. Hebert Distinctive Painting and Design.
Then there came the BIG unplanned impactful event in 2006 when he was hit by a distracted driver. This began a 2 year odyssey when he pursued all potential avenues to recover the most basic functions. His volunteer work as part of Voices, was recognized with a national award for promoting music therapy to help with brain injury recovery.
“Time is all we have and the more we give, the more we receive.”
