A Small Charity Can Lead to Great Things

At Biddeford Cultural and Heritage Center (BCHC),  we are grateful for our donors, sponsors and amazing volunteers. Without them, we would not exist and would be unable to grow our mission of sharing, preserving, teaching and celebrating the culture, diversity, heritage and history of the City of Biddeford, its people and surrounding areas. Because of  you we exist and by working together, we can accomplish anything. Without your participation and support, we would be nothing.

Please consider joining BCHC  through a donation, corporate sponsorship or by volunteering to help.

We value your continued interest and contributions.

How Your Donation Helps All of Us

Biddeford Cultural and Heritage Center is a young nonprofit in the City of Biddeford.  There is no membership fee to be part of the organization and we have a working Board of Directors. The organization survives due to the support of our great volunteers, financial donations, grants, fundraising etc.

As of yet, we have no true “home” of our own, although through the generosity of many, such as the La Kermesse organization, we have a monthly meeting place and a venue for the annual Hall of Fame Celebration.  The City of Biddeford has graciously allowed us to hang the honoree banners in the streets of Biddeford and the plaques of honor are on the City Chamber Walls.

Currently we are looking for an affordable place where we might offer events, provide genealogical and historical research, a space for other similar nonprofits to share with an area for rolling displays, access to our collections and that of other community organizations which would be open on certain days and some weekends.

The collections and donations are growing, as are  equipment and supplies. A main goal in the strategic plan was to have a space within 5 years, but that has not occurred as of yet. Your donation would help significantly with this.

There are many ways to donate, individually, a corporate donation, in kind donation, towards an endowment fund, in honor of someone, etc. Please be sure to contact us if you would like your donation directed to a specific cause.

Levels of Giving

There are many levels of giving and we are grateful for all of them, whether you support with your time and talent or by a financial donation, every little bit helps BCHC with its mission. It allows us to celebrate our community and recognize the good done here. It helps us to preserve and share the treasures found here and its people and to educate others as to our history, culture and heritage.

As part of our appeal, we are recognizing online those who have donated at the Heritage, Hall of Fame and Voices Levels during our campaign. This by no means minimizes the many donations from all our supporters who help BCHC to grow.

Thank you to all!

We're In This Together. Your Contribution Helps!
