NOMINATION CRITERIA

Anyone can nominate or be nominated with the following stipulations: 

1. The nominee must be or have been a citizen of Biddeford at some time in their lives, or

a nonresident who has had significant impact in the city or the world around us.

2. A person may nominate themselves.

3. Consideration will be given to how cultural significance played a part in the

nominees’ lives or towards something they accomplished.

4. Nominators are encouraged to provide testimonials, biographical material, newspaper

clippings, photos, and other information that will serve to highlight the nominee’s

lifetime achievements and commitment to the City of Biddeford and why they should be

considered for induction.

5. For those who have nominated candidates in the past we strongly encourage you to

resubmit an application along with any additional supporting documentation,

testimonials, photos, press, etc. Much of what we have on nominees being carried over is

outdated or lacking significant information. You may also encourage others to submit

supporting information on behalf of you nominee(s).

6. There is no limit to the number of nominees that can be submitted for consideration.

7. Forms may be scanned and emailed to [email protected] or mailed to BCHC at

PO Box 896, Biddeford, Maine 04005.

8. No one will be considered for induction into the HOF without a nomination submitted.

9. The deadline for submission of nominations is July 31, 2026.
