Annette Emily (Cantara) Addorio was born in Biddeford on August 13th, 1914, the daughter of Margaret McCarn and Henry Cantara. She attended St. Marys School and Biddeford High  School which  she graduated from  in 1933.

She married Dennis Addorio in 1939 and worked at Butler’s Department Store and OOB Amusement Arcade for a period of time. She also worked  at the West Point Pepperell from 1956 until her retirement in 1979. 

Annette was a fixture in the community.In addition to her work history, she was a devout Catholic and sang in the church choir. She wos a member of the Women’s Sodality at St. Mary’s Church and  she volunteered as a tutor at Biddeford High School, helping younger immigrants learn English in her later years.

Annette was also active in the Daughters of Isabella. She was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. She was a great sports fan, especially of the “ Fighting Irish”. She  enjoyed bowling and continued to bowl until the age of 101 when she had to quit due to her “ arthritis”.
